Fuel Polishing vs Fuel Maintenance
Per the NFPA 25, all stored diesel is required to have a Fuel Maintenance Program to keep the fuel clean.
If the fuel degrades, it will result in particulates, water, and bacterial growth, requiring a maintenance company to clean the tank by removing contaminants and replenishing it with fresh fuel—a process referred to as "fuel polishing."
"Fuel polishing" can be expensive... but avoidable if the fuel is maintained!

In 1994 Mr. Hagopian was hired as the Operations Manager for the Start-up, Fuel Technologies, Inc., and was responsible for the initial funding of the company, acquiring FM APPROVAL and structuring a Factory Representative Network. In 2003 Mr. Hagopian acquired all assets of the Company and created Fuel Technologies International (FTI) a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). FTI manufactures the only automated stored diesel fuel maintenance system that is Labeled “FM APPROVED”, Listed in the “FMG Approval Guide’ and compliant with NFPA and NRTL equipment standards acceptable to AHJ’s Worldwide.
